WRAZ-TV/FOX 50 to Air Adoption Documentary Raleigh-Durham, NC – WRAZ-TV/FOX 50 will air “I Have Roots and Branches. . .Personal Reflections on Adoption” in place of the FOX Network reality show “Who's Your Daddy,” Monday, January 3rd at 8 p.m. In the film, adoptees ranging in age from childhood to adulthood share their deepest thoughts and emotions on the adoption experience and how it profoundly shaped their lives and those of their loved ones. The film was awarded the 2004 Film Advisory Board Award of Excellence recognizing quality family entertainment. “This film is a moving and genuine look at adoption and the positive impact it can have on families through many voices and different perspectives. We are proud to share this enlightening and heartwarming program, both as informative, appropriate family viewing, and as a public service as well,” said FOX 50 VP and General Manager Tommy Schenck. Flory G. Herman, the film's director and executive producer, said, “I am thrilled that the station is passionate enough about adoption and family to consider airing ‘Roots and Branches.' The film is an honest and touching look at the very real, ordinary and extraordinary faces of adoption, whose stories usually go untold. There are more than one million adoptees living in this country today and therefore millions of families have been personally touched by adoption or know someone who has.” Flory G. Herman is an attorney who currently limits her practice to adoption law. She has been a member of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys since 1994 and currently serves as a private adoption consultant.
