WILMINGTON - Atlantic Telephone Membership Cooperative Cable System and Charter Communications Cable have recently extended WILM-TV's household coverage by fifty percent.

"We're thrilled to have been added to 41,500 cable homes in New Hanover, Pender, Brunswick and Onslow counties," said WILM-TV Station Manager, Constance Henley Knox. "Only nine percent of the Wilmington television market watch TV using an antenna. Since eighty-seven percent of the Wilmington metropolitan area view their local television stations on cable TV, cable television carriage has become an integral part of the impressive growth of WILM-TV and we welcome all these new viewers" added Mrs. Knox.

The expansion will bring CBS programming, hourly local weather, shows like Regis and Kelly, Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood and newscasts from WRAL-TV (Raleigh) to the newly added homes.

According to Mrs. Knox, even more growth is planned in early January 2004 when WILM-TV will be added to the Time Warner Cable communities in Bladen County.

WILM-TV is owned and operated by Capitol Broadcasting Company of Raleigh, NC. The station broadcasts over-the-air on VHF Channel 10, on Time Warner Cable Channel 12 or 5, on Charter Communications Cable Channel 10 or 16, and on Atlantic Telephone Membership Cooperative Cable on Channel 10.
