Charlotte, NC -- Will Davis has been named Vice President & General Manager of WJZY-TV (UPN 46) and WWWB-TV (Charlotte's WB), both owned by Capitol Broadcasting Company. The announcement was made today by Jim Goodmon, President & CEO of Capitol Broadcasting.

In making the announcement, Mr. Goodmon said, "It is great to get Will back into the fold. He brings great experience managing WB and UPN stations."

With our stellar lineup of syndicated programming and the best signals in the Charlotte market I believe these stations are poised for tremendous growth."

Mr. Davis is currently General Manager of WXLV-TV and WUPN-TV in Winston-Salem, NC, and has served as a Group Manager and Regional Manager for The Sinclair Broadcast Group since 1998. He has managed stations in Indiana, Michigan, and Iowa, and is former VP/GM of WLOS-TV and WBSC-TV in the Asheville-Greenville-Spartanburg television market. Prior to that, he worked in the news and programming departments at WRAL-TV in Raleigh, which is also owned by Capitol Broadcasting Company.

Mr. Davis will begin his new duties on April 1, 2002, replacing current VP/GM Linda Sherman.
