About SAFEchild:
A not-for-profit child abuse prevention agency established in 1992 by the Junior League of Raleigh, SAFEchild is committed to eliminating child abuse in Wake County by helping adults and children create nurturing environments free from abuse and neglect.
SAFEchild believes that every child has a fundamental right to grow up in an environment free from abuse and neglect. They also believe families are diverse and have a right to be respected and that families can grow and change.
SAFEchild works to:
- prevent child abuse from ever occurring
- empower parents & caregivers to move toward healthy family relationships by breaking negative parenting patterns
- educate and raise awareness about the issue of child abuse in Wake County
