Loaves and Fishes

About Loaves and Fishes:
Loaves and Fishes is a small, private, non-profit organization in Raleigh that serves as an extended family to at-risk children through long-term, individualized support so the children succeed in both school and society.

Loaves and FishesThe four major programs are Eager Beavers, a daily after-school program from children grades K-2; Study Buddies, a daily after-school program for 3rd-5th graders; Champs, a daily after-school program for 6th-8th graders; and Stars, a daily after-school program for 9th-12th graders.

The organization works with students throughout their school career, giving them social and educational opportunities.

How To Help Loaves and Fishes:
VOLUNTEER
Loaves and FishesVolunteers make Loaves and Fishes the strong, supportive organization that it is. You can help in many ways, by tutoring students in various academic areas, being a buddy for one of their older children, or teaching one of your special talents. Volunteers can also provide supplies for children and various LAF events, serve on a committee, or share the LAF story with others. Find more information about volunteering here. If you would like to volunteer, contact the LAF office at 231-4687.

GIVE
Make a donation to Loaves and Fishes so they can continue to provide support for the many children in their program. Donate here.
Loaves and Fishes is a part of Harris Teeter's Together in Education program. Link your VIC card with LAF (code 5587) and Harris Teeter will donate a percentage of your purchases to LAF. Sign up with the cashier.

ATTEND and/or SPONSOR
Low Country Fish BoilThe 8th Annual Loaves and Fishes Low Country Boil will take place on Sat, Sept 27th at Tara Farms from 3-7pm. Food, music, children's events and a variety of auction items will be available. All proceeds benefit Loaves and Fishes. Find more information here.
