Helping Hand

About the Helping Hand Mission:
The Helping Hand Mission assists families on a one-on-one basis with food clothing, furniture and shelter. The Mission receives reusable items from families all over Wake County & surrounding areas and even provides pick-up for large items.

Helping HandLove Baskets are delivered to needy families to provide recipients with a wholesome meal. During the Holidays, the Helping Hand Mission opens its doors to anyone without a home for a traditional dinner fixed with all the holiday trimmings. Each plate is carefully prepared with a homey touch, and volunteers come from near and far to help with a smile. Doors do not close until everyone is fed.

HandsDuring the winter, Helping Hand Mission collects winter clothing for the homeless through Operation Warm Clothing.

The Helping Hand Mission Marching Band is a favorite far and wide. A staple at the Raleigh Christmas Parade, the upbeat, high-stepping band has been known to let former WRAL-TV reporter Mark Roberts jump in for a number or two.
