About the American Diabetes Association:
The American Diabetes Association is the nation's leading 501(c)3 nonprofit health organization providing diabetes research, information and advocacy.

Founded in 1940, the mission of the ADA is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

To fulfill this mission, the ADA funds research, publishes scientific findings, provides information and other services to people with diabetes, their families, health professionals and the public. The ADA is also actively involved in advocating for scientific research and for the rights of people with diabetes.

Tour de CureAnd on June 7 - 8, in Cary, the ADA will sponsor its annual Tour de Cure cycling event to raise funds for the organization.

How To Help the American Diabetes Association & Participate in Tour de Cure 2008:
Tour de CureREGISTER TO PARTICIPATE

The fun begins with check-in on Saturday, June 7th at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary. Four different rides begin at 8am:

  • Family Fun 21K
  • Triangle Area 51K
  • 240K Challenge
  • 320K Extreme

Fun family activities will take place at the finish line after the Family Fun 21K. For the longer rides, snacks will be provided as well as meals.

Registration is now $25, or $35 on the day of the event. Create a team or a personal entry. All cyclists must raise a minimum of $175 to participate, in addition to the registration fee.
