This just in.  Not only did FOX 50 and WRAL-TV win honors at the recent PromaxBDALocalAwards presentation, WJZY-TV brought home the CBC’s Charlotte station’s first ever GOLD Promax award at the June 28, 2012, ceremony in Las Vegas.

“We have been awarded Promax Silver and various other advertising and promotion awards in the past, but this Promax Gold is a first,” said WJZY Director of Programming and Creative Services Chris Wolf.  “It was a treat to be recognized by our peers and share the stage with our fellow Capitol winners at the awards presentation.”

WJZY-TV CW 46 received the Promax Gold for their 30 Rock Outdoor advertising campaign “Rock Your World” which they used last fall to premiere the program.

The Promax Gold is given to what the judges consider the best national exhibition from among all the entries in the category regardless of market size or network affiliation. Each year there are thousands of entries in the various categories.

“Capitol has some very dedicated, hardworking, creative individuals throughout the company,” said Wolf of WJZY’s award and the honors won by both FOX 50 and WRAL-TV.  “It is satisfying and rewarding to see that recognized by our peers.”
