Capitol Broadcasting, Fletcher Foundation to Get TV Academy Honor |

The Nashville/Midsouth region's board of governors unanimously voted to honor them with The Governor's Award, which is given in recognition of achievements by individuals, organizations or companies that do not fall within the structure of the chapter’s regular awards.
They will receive the award at the Emmy Awards ceremony on March 17, 2012, at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville. Historically, the award is for outstanding and unique accomplishments or for achievements of some duration and durability. In recent years, it was given to The Freedom Forum’s First Amendment Center and Newseum and to NASA TV on their 50th anniversary, including the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville.
