WRAL-TV has a new anchor team, at least for one afternoon. The past and present will collide on Saturday, January 24, 2009, as WRAL-TV Anchor/Reporter Debra Morgan appears with retired WRAL-TV Anchor Charlie Gaddy at the Raleigh Museum in downtown Raleigh. The program will begin at 2pm. The event is free and open to the public. “Two Views on the News: An Afternoon with Charlie Gaddy & Debra Morgan” is a part of the Museum’s exhibit “The [R]evolution of Media: The history of newspaper, radio and television in Raleigh.”
Gaddy retired from WRAL-TV in 1994 after a 24-year career. He was part of the first male-female anchor team in the 1980s with Bobbie Battista. Morgan has been with WRAL since 1993. For more information on the exhibit and the presentation as well as museum hours, visit the Raleigh Museum website or call (919) 832-3775. |
