The Tour de France, cycling’s most prestigious and popular race, is underway on the roads of Europe. Lance Armstrong is not on the course since he recently retired as the sports most notable figure. But he’s still working hard behind the scenes in an effort to help others fight cancer. And now the Bulls are on board. The Durham Bulls, in conjunction with the Lance Armstrong Foundation, recently announced plans for a silent jersey auction at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park on August 19, 2007, as the Bulls take on the Louisville Bats at 5:00pm. The Bulls will wear special yellow jerseys featuring the LIVESTRONG logo during the game as fans bid on the jerseys from 4:00pm through the seventh inning. Also available for auction is a LIVESTRONG Edition Trek road bike along with memorabilia from the Discovery Pro Cycling Team. All proceeds from the silent auction will go to the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
For only $14 you can receive the Livestrong special ticket offer which includes:
