WRAL-TV nabbed four Regional Emmy awards at the presentation in Nashville, Tennessee, on Saturday, January 28, 2006. The 20th Annual Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards ceremony took place downtown in Music City at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel.

The awards are presented by the Nashville/MidSouth Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

WRAL-TV and FOX 50 received numerous nominations. Nominees in the 59 categories were from 45 stations and companies in the Nashville/Midsouth Region, which encompasses the states of North Carolina (except Asheville) and Tennessee, and the television market of Huntsville, Alabama.
