WRAL-TV & FOX 50 Bring Home Seven Regional Emmys
The 19th annual MidSouth Regional Emmy Awards were handed out on Saturday, January 22, 2005, and WRAL-TV and WRAZ-TV (FOX 50) both came home with gold statues.
From nearly 700 entries, judges selected 247 nominees in 60 categories. WRAL-TV received six Emmys and FOX 50 received one.
The Midsouth Regional chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences made the presentations at a banquet at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville. This year’s awards were judged by the Mid-Atlantic Chapter, based in Philadelphia.

Of the 50 stations with nominations, WRAL had an impressive 18 and FOX 50’s promotions department had the lion’s share of those nominations with two. WRAL-TV & FOX 50 received the following nominations.
