Group Outings & Picnics at the Pelicans Now On Sale For 2005

Groups can now schedule an afternoon or evening at a Pelicans game.

Last year the Pelicans saw the most groups in team history make their way out to the ballpark.  Group outings at the ballpark are great for family gatherings, staff recognition, client appreciation, church groups, civic groups, restaurants and more.  Benefits of booking a group event with the Pelicans include: discounted tickets (starting at just $5), block seating so your group can sit together, your group's name in lights on the Coastal Federal Field scoreboard and announced over the PA system, the chance to present the colors, sing the National Anthem or sing “Take Me Out To The Ballgame,” and merchandise discounts in the Pelicans Pro Shop.  If you are the group leader who organizes the event, you will receive two free tickets to another Pelicans game in 2005, as a special thank you for all of your work.  

Over the last six years 17 Major League ballplayers including Marcus Giles, Rafael Furcal, Adam LaRoche, Nick Green, Horacio Ramirez, Jose Capellan, Jason Marquis and Charles Thomas have played for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans.  Who will be next?  Come out as a group to watch the Pelicans play.  You might just find the next great Atlanta Braves prospect.

With attendance climbing each of the last two years, the Pelicans are expecting great crowds once again in 2005. Season Ticket packages, Ten-Game Mini-Plan packages and group outings for the 2005 season are currently available.

The Birds are tentatively scheduled to play the Charleston Riverdogs of the South Atlantic League in an exhibition game on April 5, 2005 at Coastal Federal Field.
