Wins Nine Regional Emmys |
WRAL-TV
brought home the gold this past weekend, as the station nabbed nine Regional
Emmy Awards from the 16th Annual Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards in Nashville
on Saturday, February 2, 2002. The statues were presented at the Gaylord
Opryland Resort and Convention Center at the annual banquet and telecast.
WRAL-TV won Emmys
in a variety of categories. The station took home statues for the following:

Morgan participated in the event as a presenter. Awards were given in
57 categories; winners were culled from 700 entries judged by the Cleveland
Chapter of National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) and
tabulated by Sussman and Associates.
A non-profit, professional
organization dedicated to fostering excellence in television, NATAS has
18 chapters with 15,000 members nationwide. The Nashville/Midsouth region
covers states of North Carolina and Tennessee and television market of
Huntsville, Alabama.
