Another one of Capitol Broadcasting's Charlotte television stations has joined the digital revolution. WWWB-TV (WB55) began providing the Charlotte market with five hours per week of original high definition programming beginning Thursday, September 12, 2002. The programming will be available on digital channel 39.1, but standard definition can still be received via analog channel 55.
"We are truly excited to begin broadcasting top quality WB Network programming in HDTV," said Will Davis, Vice President and General Manager of Charlotte's WB. "It is a vibrant format and will bring an unparalleled viewing experience to the increasing number of viewers with HDTV receivers." The WB network has begun providing some of its primetime and weekend line-up in high definition. The following shows are slated for digital broadcasts:
