"We are fortunate to have the ability to offer this service to our viewers," said FOX 50 General Manager Tommy Schenck. "Multicasting allows us to provide our regularly scheduled programming, while at the same time providing coverage of Triple-A Baseball to loyal, Triangle area Bulls' fans."

The Emmy-nominated production crew of Explorer Scouts, a division of the Boy Scouts of America, will orchestra getting the games from the field to the airwaves. Twenty 14 to 19 year-olds from Durham area high schools run the camera, direct and produce the games. Part of the group traveled to Nashville for the regional Emmy awards in February where one of their digitally produced broadcasts was nominated for a student Emmy.

Play-by-play for the broadcast will be supplied by WDNC-AM 620, the flagship station of the Durham Bulls. Steve Barnes, the voice of the Durham Bulls, will call the action. Ken Tanner will provide color commentary.

The Bulls are celebrating their 100th anniversary in minor league baseball in the 2002 season.
