Classic Raises Money To Fight Cancer
The tournament brought in almost $25,000, a substantial amount considering the current economic conditions. This total includes a silent auction held the night before at a pre-tournament reception at Michael Dean's Wood Oven & Bar in North Raleigh. Items such as a weekend in Pinehurst and a week's vacation at Topsail Island were on the auction block. The total also includes the proceeds from the sale of the Espoir Wolf sponsored by Cameron Village Business & Professionals in the Red Wolf Ramble, a fundraiser for Raleigh's Arts Council. CBC, WRAL-TV and WRAL-FM sponsor this annual event. "We are so delighted that CBC sponsors this event," said Louise Collis, Chair of the Classic. "We are pleased to remember Mr. Fred. There are so many fond memories." |
