In this new
job, Reckerd will work with individual CBC broadcasting subsidiaries
to address the needs of clients with creative sales marketing solutions,
coordinating efforts to provide additional value to the corporate
community. He will also continue to serve in his present position
at WSM.
"We have been
talking for some time about how best to take all of the platforms
that we've got in the company that reach statewide, from Charlotte
to Wilmington," said CBC Senior Vice President of Broadcasting Tom
Allen, the man to whom Reckerd will report. "Throwing in the radio
networks and the sports franchises, we thought we could offer one-stop
shopping for statewide or regional customers."

With revenue growth
being difficult in the current economy, CBC is striving to have its divisions
work together in a more organized fashion to increase revenues to the
company.
"We offer something
none of our competitors do with the reach we have across the state" continued
Allen.
Reckerd has been with
CBC for 10 years and has over 20 years of broadcast sales experience.
At Wolfpack Sports Marketing, he and his staff have created a partnership
sales model that has led to impressive revenue growth over the last 5
years. Even in the current economic situation, they have managed to keep
revenues strong.
Reckerd also has experience
in radio and television, having been General Manager of radio stations
in Charlotte and Mobile and being both the sales manager and general manager
of Jefferson-Pilot Retail Services, a broadcast sales consulting business.
