Tom Allen Steps
Into NCAB Presidency

The North
Carolina Association of Broadcasters (NCAB) recently inducted
Capitol Broadcasting Senior Vice President of Broadcasting Tom Allen
as President of its organization. On December 19, 2000, Allen was
sworn in for the 2001 term.
Allen replaces
Walker Morris, General Manager/Owner of WIOZ-WKQB in Southern Pines,
who served as NCAB President for 2000. As Morris stepped down he
said to Allen, "Congratulations, Tom, and good luck dealing with
Washington issues in what promises to be a very unpredictable and
potentially unruly year."

Ardie Gregory was elected as a director of the NCAB last year as well.
Her three-year term began January 1, 2001.

victories, education, services, benefits and legal assistance. The

and understanding between broadcast members, helps these broadcasters operate
profitable and well-managed stations, provides members with current legal
and legislative services, and helps educate the public and businesses about
the uses and values of broadcasting. CBC is a long-time member of the NCAB.
