The event has
seen a steady increase in attendance over its three years in existence
from 1,500 in 1999 to 2,000 in 2000 to this year's 2,900 attendees.
Seventy-five Triangle companies had booths at the Career Expo this
year, including Capitol Broadcasting Company, IBM, Alcatel, Blue
Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, Triangle Apartment Association,
Centura Bank, Convenience USA, Durham Regional, Duke University
Health System, Harris Teeter, FedEx, Edward Jones, Qualex, Inc.,
Southwest Airlines, Verizon Wireless, Wake Med and many more.
The Career Expo
boasted a casual relaxed atmosphere for interaction between candidates
