Paul Pope Presented Silver Beaver Award

FOX 50 Station Manager Paul Pope received the Silver Beaver Award from the Scouts.

Paul Pope, station manager for FOX 50, was awarded the Silver Beaver Award from the Occoneechee Council of the Boy Scouts for his distinguished service to youth. Pope was nominated by fellow Boy Scouter and peer Dan Wilkinson from Capitol Networks for his 20 years of dedicated service to the Boy Scouts with the Explorer Program and 16 years as a Senior Advisor to Explorer Post Five.

The Silver Beaver Award is given to adult volunteers for noteworthy service of exceptional character to youth by registered Cub Scouters, Scouters, Varsity Scouters and Exploring Leaders within the local county territory. Each nomination is based on information on their record of service in the Boy Scouts of America, standing in the community, and participation in and support of religious activities.
