Capitol Broadcasting Company Receives Human Relations Award

On February 7, Jim Goodmon accepted The Business Award for Outstanding Service To the Citizens of Raleigh during the Eleventh Annual Human Relations Awards Banquet in Raleigh, NC. The award was presented by the City of Raleigh's Human Resources & Human Relations Advisory Commission for all of the contributions CBC has made to the Raleigh community.

This annual banquet serves to remind the citizens of Raleigh to let nothing deter them from the pursuit of the worthwhile goals and objectives of inclusiveness. Other award recipients included Ms. Nellie Davis (Citizen Award) for her flood relief work, and Wake Medical Center (Organization Award) for their work with the community and helping to establish the Healing Place. CBC has also been at the forefront of bring the Healing Place to Raleigh.
