WRAL-TV5 Helps with Hurrican Mitch Relief Efforts

New Tower Lights the Raleigh Skies this December

On Tuesday, December 1, WRAL continued its long tradition by lighting the new tower located on the corner of Avent Ferry Road and Western Boulevard in Raleigh, NC. This tradition commemorating the holiday season has lasted more than 40 years.

1998 began a two year process of renovating the WRAL studios. The first step was constructing a new tower " a little to the right" of the other one. This new tower was fitted with new lights and a giant star at the top just in time to light up our holiday season.For more information, check out the story on WRAL-ONLINE.
