| CBC - A Proud Supporter
of the 1999 Special Olympic Games in Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill, NC
For nine days in 1999,
the Triangle will have the eyes of the world on us as we host the world's
biggest sporting event - The 1999 Special Olympic World Summer Games.
CBC is committed to making this event a success by contributing financial
support, moral support, media coverage, and volunteers. But to make this
event successful, the Triangle will need to have more than 35,000 people
volunteer to help with everything from translating to transporting, giving
out medals or just giving a hug. The volunteer experience will be one
of the things the special athletes will remember most about their participation
in the World Games. And for CBC, a successful event means a lot more than
what the community will remember two years from now, but what the athletes
will remember. |
