Schatzie
Joins MIX 101.5's Morning Show |
Let's extend a big
welcome to Schatzie, who has joined Bill Jordan in co-hosting the number
one morning show in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area. The microphone sizzled
as she officially took to the air on Friday, September 11.
Schatzie was born in the booming cultural mecca of Anchorage, Alaska.
She began her career by starting an early Saturday morning radio show
at the University of Alaska college radio station KRUA called the "Year
of the Possum." From there, she moved on to Anchorage's modern rock station
KWHL on overnights and weekends. After three months, she was moved to
"The Morning Show with JJ & Bob" as a newsperson. She continued on her
career by co-hosting the morning programs on KBFX, KYMG, and on KGOT,
Anchorage's highest rated radio station.
But, Schatzie wanted more -- more listeners, that is, so she began looking
for opportunities in larger markets. Steve Reynolds, Program Director
for WRAL-FM, called her, brought her to Raleigh, and here we are. She
claims, "You can look forward to hearing this gullible, small town girl
on the airwaves of MIX 101.5 and seeing me on the stages of the Triangle's
best and bravest theaters for a long, long time to come!"
